Hey everybody, I just wanted to let everyone know I'm still waiting to hear what Barack Obama's qualifications to be President are. I'm just saying, you know, what's on his political resume that leads anyone to believe he'd make a decent President.
Well, there I go again... I mean, you wouldn't want to look into any candidate who might actually have the tangible experience to be a good president, like, I don't know, Bill Richardson, who I don't even get a chance to vote for thanks to a group of dimwits in Iowa and New Hampshire who think they're voting for the Prom Queen. Obama's going to lead us with his charm and good looks?
But then again, maybe it's what we deserve as a country, having shitty Presidents. I mean, the douchebag we have now actually got Re-elected despite the fact that anyone with half a brain was at least somewhat aware that he had made it a habit to lie to the country whenever he got a chance. I guess there's always Hillary, who's candidacy I've been as excited about as a prostrate exam all along... I think that the morale of this story, like so many others, is just to give up all hope and just try to fucking survive...
In other news, I heard that some British psycholoiatrist type-guy determined that last Monday (the 21st) was the most depressing day of the year. I know a lot of people didn't work Monday -- what with it being MLK day and all (a day I'm sure all my white, 30-something friends observed with due solemnity... and on that note, a punchline from a horrible racist joke: "...because they killed the only one with a dream") -- but, I will tell you, having worked and survived the withering ordeal, when I got home and heard that, it just... made... sense...
In still other news, apparently there is yet one more NFL match this season, its called the "Super Bowl" and will feature an undefeated squad from New England up against an upstart team that claims, at least in a titular sense, to hail from "New York." At any rate, the game is scheduled for a week from Sunday (they oddly employ a two-week break here) sometime in the afternoon. If its on the TV I'll be sure to check it out.
Lessee... what else is there... I dropped a wad of cash on skis this afternoon (just trying to help the economy!) and it has been cold... and I'm thinking I'm three days late in yanking all my money out of the stock market... oops! At least I didn't buy that WaMu stock!
