So I decided to force myself around the Lake for a jog this afternoon, before weight-lifting, foloowing the old training wisdom that in a lot of cases, a short, easy "recovery run" is better than just doing nothing at all (aka a "rest day"). After my three soccer games over the weekend, I wasn't expecting much, and I decided about three strides into it to go ahead and run the shorter, 2.7 mile "inside" loop instead of the planned 3.1 mile "outside" loop. As it turns out, i should have left my watch at home, as my time was... well, lets just say I didn;t manage to break 10-minute pace... ugh!

BUT, I feel like I'm really starting to break through a training threshold here, and with no soccer games this week, I hope to go running every day... we'll see if that happens...
