Ambiguously Disgruntled Manifesto

wasting your time since 1975

Well, it's time for all the PAC-10 rivalry games tomorrow (except for Arizona, which is Friday). As always, you throw out the records and expect some wild results. Having said that, I have a strong feeling the Huskies could win tomorrow. They are as confident as ever, having kicked the crap out of Oregon in Eugene last week. The problem is, WSU is a lot better than Oregon. Most people probably haven't noticed how good the WSU defense is this year, and I believe that will be the key to the game. UW will be reduced to one-legged attack, WR Reggie Williams, and it won't be enough. The Cougars are coming off a bye week, and are rested and healthy. Expect to see a first-half shootout, with WSU gradually taking control in the second, with their defense shutting down the Huskies in the end. Jason Gesser will throw a couple key TD passes late, and make the game look more lopsided than it really was.
WSU 34 UW 23 (4)
Oregon is reeling, and the game is in Corvallis. OSU will play a tight, run the ball and play good defense strategy to a win
OSU 24 UO 20 (3)
I'm following a hunch, and thinking Arizona will shock an ASU team that was in the thick of the PAC-10 reace 3 weeks ago
UA 35 ASU 34 (5)
The "Big Game," I think Stanford has won 7 straight, but Cal has had a turnaround season, and won't be able to go to a bowl game because of an NCAA ban. That means they'll make sure they win this one.
UC-Berkely 30 Stanford 16 (1)
In the "Battle of Los Angeles" USC seems like the clearly superior team. Of course, that seems to mean they are just as likely to lose. UCLA is in a "Make their Season" position, similar to UW. Do I pick the upset???
USC 28 UCLA 27 (2)
(if you didn't figure it out, the number of parantheses is the "rank" of the game for points purposes)

NFL:
Uh, the Hawks play Sunday, right. Well, there's no TV, and I sure as hell ain't going, so I guess I'l miss it. Welcome to irrelevancy!
San Fran 7x7's over Pilly Iggles (the suddenly impotent Donovan McNabb-less Eagles)
K.C. Chefs over See Hacks
Denver over Indy
Miami over Sandy Ego
Tampa over Green
