This fruity brew will become our annual Summer Solstice (June 21st) beer. While many people who consider themselves "beer purists" tend to turn up their noses at the concept of "fruit beers," the Germans have a long tradition of adding various fruits to their Weizen (made with wheat malts) ales, Raspberries are one of the most common additives, and in this case they come from the prolific patch at the Reeder Homestead in SeaTac. Generous amounts of honey are added, not only highlighting the sweetnes of the berries, but also making this a very potent beverage! What better way to kick back and enjoy the long summer evenings |
