Breakfast Stout! Breakfast Stout! Breakfast Stout! We brewed it today. You'll have to wait until March to drink it!!! We also bottled the Firestarter Winter Warmer Ale, which will be first made available to anyone attending the Super Bowl here at the House of the Ambiguously Disgruntled. Last Night, our resident in charge of Mead prodeuction, Rich, made some "Black Mead," (by "made" I mean he put all the ingredients together in the carboy) but it will nedd to ferment for nearly a year. We'll see it next Christmas! Sunday, December 29, 2002
Yesterday, Greg and I headed over to Bob's to see if my propane burner (which my parents have already paid for as an Xmas gift) was in yet. It wasn't, and as a result, we won't be able to make our planned first all-grain beer, the 2003 version of Breakfast Stout, until early next month. So we felt all dressed up, with nowhere to go, so to speak. On a whim, Greg thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and make a beer that he had been thinking about for a while, including an ingedient we decided to keep a secret until people drink it. We slapped together a recipe on the spot, and went home and made it. You can check out the label design here, and it oughta be out in late February! I've been working on a site redesign that will hopefully feel a lot less cluttered, and most importantly mean that it will still be pertinent without being updated any more often than every few months. Let me know what y'all think... |
